Human Resources Intern Summer 2024 at Hendrickson in Hebron, Ohio

Job Description:

Position Purpose:



Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in a Human Resource business environment, assisting with recruiting efforts, onboarding, employer relations, and collaborating on policy administration? If so, the Human Resource Intern position could be the right fit for you.



Essential Functions:



• Provide support on various HR processes, new employee orientation and onboarding, policy administration, and HR metrics.


• Create and facilitate company mandated and other training modules to employees.


• Recruit for assigned openings, following all aspects of the established recruiting process, which includes working closely with recruiting sources, hiring managers, candidates, and interviewers.


• Maintains a strong customer service attitude, enhancing employee relations and providing excellent service to internal and external personnel.


• Act as a member of various employee engagement committee's including: Activities, Wellness, and Safety



Education and Training



• Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university.


• Must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. This GPA must be maintained in order to remain eligible for the program.


• Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in an applicable field of study.



Minimum Qualifications



• Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related degree.


• Previous work experience in HR, delivering training, or a business setting a plus.


• Knowledge of basic principles and practices of Human Resources a plus.


• Effective oral, written, and PC skills required.


• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills required.


• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0 required.

• Frequent sitting, work at computer for extended periods of time.
