Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an AP Supervisor in Rockville, MD.

Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and mentor a team of accounts payable specialists to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments

  • AP Supervisor will review and approve invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents for accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures

  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or discrepancies in a professional and timely manner

  • Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures to streamline the accounts payable function and improve productivity

  • Conduct regular audits of accounts payable transactions to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and finance, to ensure smooth coordination of payments and financial reporting

  • As an AP Supervisor, you will provide training and support to staff on Cost Point software and other relevant systems and tools

  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in accounts payable and make recommendations for process improvements as needed







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience in accounts payable or related field

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

  • Proficiency in Cost Point software is required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
