Position Summary

Our maintenance team provides solutions to daily challenges, as we focus on creating delicious, convenient and value oriented Asian-inspired meal solutions for our consumers. The Maintenance Mechanic function involves the mechanical, electrical, and sheet metal repairs to maintain the production process in a food manufacturing facility.

Essential functions and duties

  1. Perform all the assigned repairs on the machinery/equipment.
  2. Perform electrical & mechanical troubleshooting and repair the machinery/equipment during production to minimize the down time and assure the best possible efficiency. (Target total down time below 2% and Efficiency target at 100%)
  3. Daily visual inspection of the production lines and the supporting equipment for any malfunction or abnormal functionality. Report to the person in charge of the department for correction of the malfunction.
  4. Assure to check and request for all the parts required for any repair or project assigned.
  5. Daily visual inspection of the production lines and the supporting equipment for any unsafe condition of the machinery/equipment. Report to the person in charge of the department for correction of the malfunction.
  6. Responsible for keeping the shop clean and organized.
  7. Responsible for signing and reviewing the safety open and closing daily sheet.
  8. Responsible for completing the work reports at the end of each job.
  9. Any other duty as assigned.

Preventative maintenance and machine repair – removing, assembling and installing industrial parts and equipment, performing modifications, completing preventative maintenance checks, scheduled and unscheduled repairs, etc. May work with electric, with up to 480 volts 3 phase.

Collaboration and teamwork – working with team members and other departments to improve the production process, placing work orders for parts needed, working with contractors and vendors on special projects, participating in team and interdepartmental meetings and trainings as necessary.

Keeping an eye on the details – maintaining tools to keep them in good working order, following manual instructions or contacting manufacturer when needed, cleaning and sanitation tasks as necessary, following safety, health and other company policies and procedures, other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ industrial maintenance background – mechanical and/or electrical
  • Experience in a high-speed manufacturing facility
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and think outside the box
  • Solution and team oriented
  • Basic computer skills

  • Vocational training or post-secondary degree in a technical field
  • Experience using a CMMS system
