Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Department: Maintenance

Reporting to: Maintenance Manager

General Overview:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the equipment and machinery at the manufacturing campus. The position requires supporting Continuous Improvement activities and Kaizen events. The position requires a strong analytical mind and the ability to safely and reliably solve problems in a fast-paced production environment.

This position will be based out of North Aurora, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Understands, creates, and follows LOTO procedures
• Obeys environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Works with a diverse group of stakeholders to resolve equipment problems
• Creates, completes, and closes maintenance work orders
• Capable of troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Understands, creates, and follows preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting procedures
• Understands, creates, and follows preventive maintenance schedules
• Performs equipment maintenance tasks including greasing, fluid changes, and machine adjustments
• Collaborates with and supports outside tradespeople and service companies
• Can pass forklift certification training course
• MIG welding and basic fabrication skills
• Must be able to pass welding test
• Clear written and verbal communicator
• Efficient collaborator with internal and external contacts
• Must be adaptable to support the company beyond the scope of this written job description
• Can work varying schedules to support operations
• Can accommodate evening and weekend work
• Maintains company-provided tools
• Responsibilities include maintaining office, shop floor, process equipment, restrooms, grounds, and building exterior areas
• Supports Continuous Improvement and Lean activities
• Involved with Kaizen events to improve production

Educational/Experience Requirements:

• Associates degree preferred
• 5 Years of experience preferred in a maintenance technician role
• 2 Years of experience in an industrial environment working with process equipment
• OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
