About the Job

We have an exciting new opening for an Administrative Assistant I based at our Portland Service Center in Portland, Oregon. This position organizes and maintains company-wide resources (including contact lists and organizational charts); prepares documents and carries out workflows related to business operations; and coordinates travel arrangements, including hotels, flights, and vehicle reservations. The Administrative Assistant I provides regularly scheduled coverage of the front desk and office support activities (answering phones, directing calls, greeting visitors, processing incoming and outgoing mail, scheduling meeting rooms and company vehicles, running errands, etc.). Additional responsibilities include supporting Administrative Services department responsibilities such as event planning and program furnishing.

The Administrative Assistant I position uses independent judgement in the resolution of problems and the performance of assigned tasks. They also maintain effective and positive working relationships with program managers, administrative staff, and other outside vendors and agencies.

ColumbiaCare Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.


Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (Full Time, Day)


What You’ll Make

$3,813.33 – $4,160 per month DOE/Credentials.

Additional 5% Language Differential offered for Bilingual or Multilingual candidates (Spanish/English desired).

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; OR TWO (2) years’ administrative work experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
  • In addition, good record-keeping skills and keen attention to detail are essential

Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and have the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.

Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to frequently sit, talk, listen, and use hands and fingers. It may require the ability to occasionally walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable; as well as lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds. Reasonable accommodations can be made.
