The Department of Urology at Tulane University School of Medicine and Tulane Health Systems is seeking a board-certified urologist for the position of Chief of Urologic Oncology. The potential candidate must be at a non-Junior level appointment (Associate Professor or Professor level) and must be fellowship-trained in urologic oncology. The candidate will be responsible for urologic oncology research, teaching, and clinical practice. Proficiency in the da Vinci robot is essential.
In addition to the Tulane University Hospital and Clinics, the candidate will be part of an expanding medical practice, including the new VA Medical Center, the state-owned University Medical Center, and the Tulane Urology Garden District Clinic. The academic appointment will be through the School of Medicine. This is a unique opportunity for individuals to establish a clinical practice, to conduct basic and clinical research, and to educate urology residents and fellows as well as medical students.
The applicant should have completed a fellowship program in urologic oncology from an ACGME accredited residency in the US, be eligible for Louisiana state medical license, and be fully credentialed at the Tulane University's hospitals.
