Job Title:Post Doctoral Scholar


Department:Arts and Sciences | Physics Administration


Post Doctoral Scholar will carry out a vigorous program of independent research in the specialty of High Energy Theory and String Theory, write papers for refereed publication, travel to conferences and other venues to present the results, and interact with other researchers to develop new directions that will aid the Department of Physics.Initial appointments will be up to 3 years. Applications should include a curriculum vitae, list of publications (can be included in the CV), a brief description of past and proposed research, and three letters of reference.




Required Qualifications


Doctorate degree in Physics is required by the time of hire. Candidates must have demonstrated records of accomplishments in High Energy Theory and String Theory or closely related fields. Prior experience in String Theory or General Relativity is required.

The Department of Physics, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Post Doctoral Scholar to join our team. The target hiring range is $48,000-$60,000 annual. The actual salary will fall within this range based on the candidate's qualifications, internal equity and the unit's budget.
