In support of the College's commitment to diversify our workforce, we have dedicated a multicultural internship/training position to the new Multicultural Lounge to start approximately June/July 2024 based on enrollment in Summer or Fall semester. The intern will be exposed to the internal and daily operation of a department. This is a limited term multicultural internship/training position. The maximum length of the internship will be through May 31, 2025. Preference given to current NWTC program students with an anticipated graduation of May or December 2025.



The individual selected would meet with College personnel to develop a specific training program. This program would include classes incorporated into a weekly work schedule. It could also include individual seminars, skill building activities, and individual training programs as the needs and desires of the individual dictate. The student selected will be eligible to work up to an
18 hour per week
and would be provided pay based upon actual hours worked. The College, through Talent & Culture, will pay all educational fees, tuition, and books not covered by other programs.



Selected student intern must adhere to the College's Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy, student conduct standards, and maintain expectations of an NWTC employee as identified in the Employee Handbook. Failure to adhere may result in termination of employment and/or repayment of educational funding.




Salary: $15.00/hour



Start Date: June/July 2024



Educational Requirement: Preference given to current NWTC program students with an anticipated graduation of May or December 2025.

LOCATION: Green Bay Campus POSITION REPORTS TO: Vice President, DEI Division




POSITION SUMMARY The Multicultural Lounge Assistant will support the launch of the new Multicultural Lounge on the NWTC Green Bay campus. The Assistant will assist the Multicultural Lounge Coordinator and will support other DEI Division staff. The primary purpose of the role is to cultivate student engagement with the Lounge.

Education: High School Diploma with some college

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite with specific attention to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.



THIS IS A LIMITED TERM INTERN/TRAINING POSITION

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: (The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to normal office conditions and usual office equipment such as telephone, personal computer, printers/copiers, reports, and files. The employee will be constantly required to sit, talk, hear, and type/write. The employee will be frequently required to stand, walk, touch/handle/grasp (using hands and fingers), and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally bend or squat and lift and/or push up to 10 pounds of general office items. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, far, and field of vision. This position requires regular and punctual employee presence.
