Job Title:Administrative Assistant 4Department:Veterinary Medicine | College Administration

The College of Veterinary Medicine's Professional Programs Assistant provides administrative support for the Associate and Assistant Deans in the College of Veterinary Medicine's Professional Programs office. Additionally, the Professional Programs Assistant also provides administrative support to the Professional Programs Offices as requested by the Associate and Assistant Deans.


Responsibilities include:




  • Managing business travel needs




  • Completing expense reports, payables submissions, procurement and purchasing




  • Managing calendars and meeting requests




  • Coordinating committee meetings and making meeting arrangements




  • Handling sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner




  • Recording, transcribing, and maintaining meeting minutes as needed




  • Responding to inquiries as needed




  • Answering phones and providing basic reception duties as needed




  • Preparing routine and complex correspondence




  • Assisting with special projects and events for the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Students







Minimum Education Required:


High School diploma or GED




Required Qualifications:


4 years of relevant experience




Desired Qualifications and Education:




  • 6 or more years of relevant experience preferred




  • Computer skills -Workday, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Cloud




  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail




  • Ability to anticipate needs within department




  • Ability to work in a busy environment with multiple individuals




  • Attention to detail and accuracy




  • Ability to provide exceptional service to students and colleagues




  • Has prior experience in customer service



Additional Information:


  • May occasionally require additional hours in the evening or weekends to support special events





  • Employer will not sponsor a visa for applicants of this position




  • Target Salary Range: $22.16-$29.54 per hour
