These are represented by the Ferguson College of Agriculture and two state agencies: the Oklahoma Agricultural Experiment Station (OSU Ag Research) and the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service (OSU Cooperative Extension). OSU Agriculture includes nine academic departments, 16 field research stations, two institutes and three centers and a presence in all 77 Oklahoma counties. The Ferguson College of Agriculture offers undergraduate majors in 16 fields of study, 14 master's and 11 doctoral degrees. * Develop, direct and deliver applicable information, resources and student development programs to enhance undergraduate and graduate students' ability to transition into the professional workforce. Program delivery will require a diversity of delivery methods.* Develop and implement career readiness strategies/plans for the development of undergraduate and graduate students in partnership with academic departments and advisors.* Coordinate and implement the College's career readiness efforts and career services functions working closely with the Associate Dean and Employer and Alumni Relations Coordinator. Facilitate communication and activities of career development with other student success coordinators as well as with departmental representatives and campus partners.* Utilize industry organizations, alumni relationships, faculty, and other resources and partnerships for student development and career readiness needs.* Develop and manage budgets for monies allocated or earmarked for career services and student development functions.* Provide leadership in the recruitment selection training and management of professional and student staff who have career development responsibilities.* Collaborate with faculty to serve as a resource for incorporating career/professional development topics into curriculum and other developmental student initiatives. Obtain and maintain professional certifications appropriate for this position.* Implement and direct assessment strategies, research and reporting related to career services, student engagement in professional development, career placement and graduation/alumni surveys.* Serve as co-advisor for the Student Success Leaders, Career Liaisons* Serve as the co-organizational liaison to Agriculture Future of America (AFA) including professional development opportunities for students within the organization.* Serve as a resource and support to college alumni through consultations for career transition support.* Join and actively participate in professional organizations and meetings related to student development, career services and human resource management.* Support Orientation and Enrollment programs and provide academic guidance for students participating in the Academic On Track program* Collaborate with other Student Success Center and Academic Program staff on joint initiatives such as student leadership development programs.* Serve as Superintendent for State FFA Employment Skills Career Development Event (CDE) providing all coordination of contest planning and implementation.* Assist in implementing other functions and events of the College e.g. New Student Welcome, Scholarship Recognition Events, Ferguson College Week Activities and others.* Other duties as assigned.*This is an exempt position (which indicates that the position is exempt from overtime pay/comp time accrual). According to OSU policy, a 40-hour workweek is considered minimal for exempt staff and you are expected to work hours in excess of 40 hours per week when the work load requires additional hours (to include some early mornings, evenings and/or weekends). There will be events after 5pm and on weekends including presentations to clubs, meetings with employers, special events and meetings with Career Liaisons. Company visits or professional development activities will require periods of overnight travel.

Required:

Master's degree and 5 years related experience.


Valid driver's license.


Experience with personal computer applications such as Microsoft, Word, Excel and Access. Ability to quickly learn other data management and software systems.



Preferred:


Master's degree and 5 years related experience with at least one degree in Agriculture and Natural Resources or related field.


Preferred Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) certification, Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP), Gallup-certified Strengths Coach, certified Habitudes facilitator.
