Job Description Summary
The Center for Weight and Eating Disorders at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator A. The candidate will help coordinate an NIH funded clinical trial. The NIH study is an investigation of the mechanisms of maintaining weight loss. This study involves a series of inpatient and outpatient assessment visits before and after the initial weight loss period, as well as at 4 and 12 months following the intervention. The CRC-A will coordinate participant study visits; coordinate regulatory paperwork; document and report adverse events; prepare study materials and order study specific supplies; ensure protocol adherence & data quality during the patient assessment visits; process blood and biological samples from the assessments; complete progress and data safety monitoring plan reports; maintain study charts; and enter study data. Training will be offered for these duties. Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications
The minimum of a BA/BS and 1-3 years of clinical trial/clinical research experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Must have good interpersonal skills to maintain good rapport with participants in a long-term intervention trial. Must be able to work with a multidisciplinary team, handle blood and biospecimens, and enter data. Effective problem solving, communication, and writing skills are required. Must be able to multi-task. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Knowledge of IRB and human research protection regulations. Some work shifts are early or late, as required by study protocols.
