Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Student Personnel Administration, or a related field. Four years of experience in a related field. Full-time professional financial aid experience at a post-secondary educational institution preferred. Experience and demonstrated success in managing staff and resources in a student aid office preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Plans, organizes, and directs the day-to-day operations of the College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) with the oversight of the Associate Director. Performs complex managerial work providing direction and guidance in strategic operations and planning in the Financial Aid department.
Assists the Associate Director and other managerial staff by directing program activities of staff. Develops goals and objectives for the College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM). Approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals. Develops, implements, and evaluates policies and procedures. Oversees compliance with policies and procedures. Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations. Coordinates and evaluates business function or department activities. Oversees the work of others. Manages programs focusing on continuous process improvement. Develops and implements techniques for evaluating program activities. Oversees the preparation of management and productivity reports and studies. Participates in strategic planning. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Computer services and other University departments, software vendors, governmental agencies, and interoffice contracts. The incumbent should demonstrate knowledge and understanding of large student information systems and Microsoft products. Requires exceptional written and oral communication skills along with a good eye for detail and strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work with students from various backgrounds and navigate a campus environment with a variety of social and economic experiences. Must work as a team member in a dynamic organization, possessing a positive attitude, good interpersonal communication skills, and customer service orientation.
This position will be in Conroe, TX at the College of Osteopathic Medicine.
This position may be designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Up to 40% of this position, over the fiscal year during off-peak periods, may be performed remotely as determined by the supervisor.
