Position Details:



The Opportunity:


As the International Recruiter you will work remotely domestically and overseas, and report to the Director of International Admissions and Recruitment at WSU. You will work independently and remotely 100% of the time in the assigned recruitment territory to generate new prospective student inquiries and applications through various channels, such as but not limited to: traditional in person recruitment events (open houses, information sessions, on-campus presentations, graduate school fairs, and academic conferences), virtual events (webinars, livestreams, and remote presentations), and through consistent follow-up with assigned students via the University CRM (Slate). You will be responsible for creating and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders at high schools and colleges/universities located within assigned territory. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to conduct informational meetings with prospective students (both face to face and remotely as necessary) and subsequently shepherd them to apply to WSU.



This role is a remote position, working from the incumbent's home office, with the option of hybrid. Annual travel requirement is consistently 60% of the time, including evenings and weekends, and seasonally as high as 80% of the time.





Required Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.




  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.




  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed when working remotely, while also remaining engaged and connected to the main office.




  • Ability to travel to the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.




  • Experience working with diverse populations inside and outside the USA.




  • Knowledge of and experience with the transfer process from community college to university.




  • Experience working with international students, parents, agencies, and government officials.




  • Knowledge of international Student and Exchange Visitor Information System.




  • Experience with CRM or a student database to analyze data and follow up with leads / applicants.






Preferred Qualifications:




  • Five (5) years of international student recruitment experience.




  • 3 - 5 years of experience with admissions and/or Business-to-Business agent partnership development.




  • Flexibility to schedule working time around students' and/or departmental needs.




  • Dynamic public speaking skills.




  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, be a quick learner, and a self-starter.




  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.




  • CRM experience with Slate or PeopleSoft.




  • Experience as a recruiter for a college or university in the U.S., Canada, or the U.K.




  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to meet annual strategic unit goals.

Monthly Salary: $3,750.85 - $4,162.53 | In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
