Annual training is required by the Department of Education for all personnel who have been designated as a Campus Security Authority.

Chief Objective of Position:

The Executive Director of Auxiliary Services provides strategic leadership and guidance to the departments of Dining Services; Catering; Parking Services, Captains Card Program and Scheduling, Events and Conferences.


Work Tasks:



  • Uses independent judgment and discretion to provide leadership and direction to the departments of Dining; Catering; Transportation and Parking, and Scheduling, Events and Conferences.

  • Responsible for planning and implementing goals and objectives of the auxiliary operations consistent with and in support of overall institutional goals.

  • Coordinates financial planning and budget development for auxiliary units. Develop policies and procedures and ensure proper and appropriate internal controls are in place for all auxiliary units.

  • Responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, evaluating, and developing functions of auxiliary services.

  • Accountable for the reliability of accounting systems, fiscal data produced, and the integrity of the operations.

  • Directly responsible for the University's Parking operations including fiscal affairs, space management and special events.

  • Directly responsible for the administration of Dining Services and Catering operations including fiscal affairs, meal preparation and variety, special dietary needs, and OSHA and Health Department Compliance.

  • Directly responsible for the administration of the University's out sourced Spirit Store.

  • Responsible for hiring, training, supervising, directing, delegating and evaluating work of assigned professional staff

  • In consultation with the Chief Financial Officer/Associate Vice President, research, investigate, analyze and establish operational improvements and provide vision linking the University's mission and values to measurable departmental goals.

  • Provide support for special projects and capital initiatives.

  • Meets with students, staff, faculty, parents and others on auxiliary service matters. Develops and maintains a positive and professional customer service and/or relation within the office/department and with all constituencies to include students, faculty, staff, and guests. Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude and treats everyone with dignity and respect. Fully supports the "Student's First" value at CNU and routinely goes the extra mile in providing service to all constituencies.

  • Safety issues are reviewed and communicated and goals are set to ensure a safe and healthy workplace and a reduction in work related absences.

  • Follow workplace safety regulations and adhere to applicable standards, processes, and programs established for your position.

  • Immediately report unsafe work conditions and work-related incidents to your supervisor and participate in accident investigation requests.

  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring the implementation of safety regulations and applicable standards, processes, and programs established for employees under your supervision.

  • Ensure employees under your supervision are trained in safety standards and procedures for their positions.

  • Report work-related incidents within 24 hours according to the procedures established by the university, state and federal guidelines.

  • This position is designated as a "responsible employee" who has the authority to redress sexual violence, who has the duty to report incidents of sexual violence or other student misconduct, or who a student could reasonably believe has this authority or duty.

Required Education:

Master's degree or Bachelor's degree and related work experience that equates to an advanced degree.
