Job Description:

The Process Improvement Program Manager works in partnership with clinical, operation, and administrative areas to support priority initiatives and coach local process improvement. This includes developing people and leading change in order to improve processes and efficiencies, create best practice standards, transform leadership behaviors, and achieve organizational goals to provide value for our patients.

Hiring range is $94,000/yr to $129,000/yr and is dependent on applicable professional experience and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Supports strategic innovation initiatives, local process improvement, and the integration of our principles and behaviors.

  • Educates and coaches employees, clinicians, and leaders to become lean thinkers - A3 thinking, PDCA/improvement thinking, kata coaching, etc.


  • Collaborates with process improvement and project management team members to design process improvement systems and standards for the organization.

  • Collaborates with the Caring Way (Lean) Transformation Core Team and may serve as PI technical leads in the design, development, and implementation of our Caring Way Management System


  • Key partner on breakthrough (innovation) design projects and events to craft a roadmap of "the what" and "the how." This includes conceptual design at the system level, a functional design at the value stream level, a detailed design at the operational level, and standard work development for operating in the new (re) design

  • Manages projects according to the methodology, timeline and budget.

  • Supports financial proforma & business case development.

  • Tracks, coordinates, and reports on project and/or improvement performance. Communicates status updates and delivery expectations to sponsors, owners, and stakeholders.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Able to facilitate and guide the application of lean principles and behaviors.

  • Strong business acumen.

  • Agility and openness to modify plans and adapt as organizational needs change.

  • Effective written and verbal communication, plus facilitation and presentation skills to manage meetings, workshops, educational classes, etc.

  • Confident to lead projects or workgroups and motivate team members.

  • Strong analytical skills to determine appropriate qualitative and quantitative measures.

  • Able to manage multiple projects, to prioritize, and to communicate complex information in clear and unambiguous terms to leaders and project teams.

  • Understand team dynamics and tailor project and change management approaches to foster team cohesion and ensure shared-accountability.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Care, Engineering, Quality, or Business-related field required

  • Lean Six Sigma certification. Black Belt preferred

  • Minimum of three years process improvement and analysis experience within health care or ambulatory care experience, with detailed history of successful continuous improvement initiatives preferred

  • Experience in kaizen facilitation, daily management systems and/or other process improvement coaching methods with demonstrated, measurable results

  • Experience leading or co-leading an organization-wide or large-scale project

  • Strong business acumen a plus!

Pay Range:
$93,850.00 - $140,775.00

We offer a competitive Total Rewards Program. Eligibility for benefits is dependent on factors such as position type and FTE. We also offer a 401k retirement plan, with employer contributions after your first year of employment. Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years. PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
