The University of Chicago's Biological Sciences Division and the University of Chicago Medical Center seek applications for the newly created position of Executive Vice President (EVP), UChicago Medicine (UCM) Physician Operations and Network Development. The appointee will provide executive leadership for development of the ambulatory network operations, the clinically integrated network (CIN), and the Care Network physician group, as well as build physician relations and clinical programs at UCM affiliates, including UChicago Medicine AdventHealth and in Northwest Indiana. If appropriate, the Executive Vice President, Physician Operations and Network Development will have an appointment in an academic department of the Biological Sciences Division. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.


The EVP, UCM Physician Operations and Network Development will have the opportunity to seek and evaluate new business opportunities, incorporate national and local trends, and develop and maintain relationships in the community and with other health care providers to build innovative partnerships and programs that deliver value in new ways. This includes overseeing the expansion of UCM's CIN into new and existing geographic regions within UCM's target populations. These efforts will be done in alignment with, and furtherance of, UCM's dedication to being at the forefront of health, discovery, and innovation.


The EVP, UCM Physician Operations and Network Development will have a strong track record of developing value-based care strategy at a system level and demonstrable success in: physician recruitment and engagement; operational alignment and enhancements; and, integrated performance across a system of ambulatory practices. This individual will be an accomplished leader ensuring both alignment of purpose and meaningful impact across quality, population health, and care management programs. They will demonstrate superior advancement of key metrics for patients cared for by physicians who are part of a CIN or similar entity.


The appointee will be a relationship-driven physician executive and skilled operational implementer, who possesses the exceptional collaborative skills necessary to lead a transformative, high-performing and high-functioning physician community across a diverse landscape. The appointee will have executive leadership experience in healthcare with a proven track record of ambulatory leadership, strategy, and successful execution.
