Summary: Conduct projects to develop and implement new and improved products, new and improved manufacturing processes, or to further the understanding of golf ball performance.


Responsibilities:



  • Conduct projects to develop new and improved golf balls.

  • Lead the development of new processes required by new products including coating applications and printing.

  • Lead R&D efforts in the manufacturing start-up of new products.

  • Evaluate the effects of design and materials changes on ball performance.

  • Pursue patent opportunities related to new product and process designs.

  • Assist with the resolution of manufacturing problems that affect product performance.

  • Propose and pursue new projects intended to result in new and improved products or processes.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline required.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an engineer required; 3+ years of which should be in a research or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with the game of golf is required.

  • Must not be adversely affected by materials in a golf course environment. Must possess basic mechanical competency. Must be able to lift 45 pounds and have the physical stamina necessary to stand at workstations for long periods of time as required to complete assignments. Must have good or corrected eyesight. Must possess accurate color vision. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to travel on company business as necessary, occasionally on short notice.
