Ledgent Finance & Accounting is partnering with our client, a manufacturing company in the electrical power industry, to hire a Staff Accountant to work onsite at their Middlebury, CT location. This temporary to hire position is a newly created role reporting to the CFO. If you are a detail-oriented accounting professional with the willingness and ability to learn and grow and work hard to contribute to the company's success, this position is for you!
Salary $75,000-80,000
Staff Accountant
What you'll do
- Maintain and update accounting records and files
- Post transactions to the GL
- Review and analyze financial statements and reporting
- Examine tax policies and handle payments
- Handle bank, loan, account and payroll reconciliations
- Conduct month-end and year-end close
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5 years experience in accounting
- Ability to meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, multitask with accuracy
- MS Word, Excel, ADP and QuickBooks proficiency
- Strong communication skills
