Position Summary

We are a discovery-stage biotechnology company backed by top-tier life science investors leveraging insights in RNA biology to discover and develop new therapeutics for high unmet needs indications across multiple disease areas including oncology and neuromuscular disorders. We are driven by our passion to turn innovative science into groundbreaking therapies.

In this position you will partner with the Chief Scientific Officer and the company's leadership team to ensure the successful delivery of organizational objectives and responsible for managing and making possible various operational aspects that contribute to our success. This role requires a combination of analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a blend of project management, biopharma operations and effective communication skills.

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide project management support to project teams: develop project plans, set objectives, track deliverables and timelines, monitor progress and alignment within budget. Produce project plan summaries, including Gantt charts, to communicate effectively project status.
  • Directly prepare CSO for upcoming management meetings, internal (e.g. Town Hall, Board of Director, LT meetings) and/or external discussions and liaise with the company's subject matter experts to prepare presentations.
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance plus coordinate logistics for calendar events, meetings and travel for the leadership team. Organize and manage logistics for in person meetings and teleconferences.
  • Keep track of commitments and deadlines ensuring CSO is adequately prepared, prepares documents and reviews materials prepared by others
  • Schedule, organize, and drive project team and leadership team meetings: prepare and distribute agendas and meeting minutes; track action items and timely execution, and escalate areas of risk to the appropriate management level.
  • Maintain project workspaces to ensure pertinent information is organized and readily accessible by key stakeholders. Support competitive intelligence efforts.
  • Maintain IP portfolio tracker, manage internal and external relationships related to licensing and IP prosecution.
  • Provide daily operational oversight to the Research functional areas and project teams.
  • Support internal business partners in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating vendor contracts and agreements; track and manage existing vendor contracts, quote and PO generation, and budget tracking/invoice reconciliation.
  • Support the development of the company culture. Organize and manage company social events.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • An M.S. or Ph.D. degree in a scientific field related to drug discovery and development with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in project management with experience in life sciences, drug discovery or related field. Understanding of the drug discovery process is preferred.
  • Must have a track record of efficient time management with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability and interest to provide operational support to teams and company leadership; helpful attitude with the willingness to take on small and large tasks with the same level of enthusiasm
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills in addressing different audiences and stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively across functions.
  • Tech savvy, with strong computer skills
  • Ability to influence without direct managerial authority and motivate stakeholders to meet timelines and achieve deliverables.
  • High emotional intelligence and situational awareness to understand team dynamics.
  • Ability to facilitate hybrid (local and remote) team meeting discussions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Skilled/familiar with project management processes and collaboration tools such as Office 365, SmartSheet, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of laboratory operations and scientific equipment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with legal and contractual matters is advantageous.
