Job Overview: As a Turnaround and Restructuring Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding distressed companies through critical financial and operational transitions. Leveraging your expertise in financial analysis, strategic planning, and stakeholder management, you will collaborate closely with clients to develop and implement comprehensive turnaround strategies. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from mid-sized enterprises to multinational corporations, and make a tangible impact on their long-term viability and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with and build out 13-week cash flow, 3-financial statement, and additional financial models
Conduct comprehensive financial assessments and performance analyses to identify underlying issues contributing to distress
Develop and execute tailored turnaround plans, encompassing cost optimization, liquidity management, and debt restructuring strategies
Engage with key stakeholders, including company management, creditors, investors, and legal advisors, to facilitate consensus and drive decision-making processes
Provide hands-on operational support and guidance to streamline business processes, enhance organizational effectiveness, and maximize value creation opportunities
Monitor and track performance against turnaround objectives, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure successful implementation and sustainable results
Prepare detailed financial models, forecasts, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress updates to internal teams and external stakeholders
Work in lean deal teams to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment conducive to professional growth and development
Travel for client on-sites and consultation is required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in turnaround and restructuring consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate restructuring roles
Proven track record of successfully leading complex restructuring projects from inception to completion, delivering measurable results and value for clients
Deep understanding of financial analysis, accounting principles, and valuation methodologies, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex financial data
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders, demonstrating exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing capabilities
Strategic mindset with a focus on problem-solving, creativity, and innovation, coupled with a results-driven orientation and sense of urgency
Proficiency in financial modeling, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software tools.
