Job Description:

Program Managers serve as the main liaisons for assigned customers regarding all non-commercial matters. They oversee their customers throughout the entire program life cycle, taking charge of new product development and ongoing programs. Success in this role hinges on a robust leadership approach and cross-functional collaboration.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Pre-Contract Award:
  • Offer insights to the organization for optimal sales strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales to ensure a unified customer approach and sales strategy.
  • Coordinate with sales, engineering, and operations teams to ensure realistic and accurate business case inputs.
  • Maintain regular contact with relevant customer program and technical departments.
  • Assist the customer in defining and selecting the best component or system.
  • Manage the technical proposal both internally and externally.

Post-Contract Award Until Aircraft/Product Certification:
  • Lead assigned program activities within the organization, including:
  • Developing and maintaining the program scope document.
  • Planning at the program level and managing resources to meet customer milestones.
  • Collaborating with all company functions to ensure the solution meets customer requirements and resolving issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with organizational processes and tools.
  • Managing and controlling recurring and non-recurring program costs and overall business case.
  • Handling and mitigating program-level risks.

Post-Certification:
  • Manage sustaining programs following company procedures.
  • Ensure a smooth service entry for the customer and the organization.
  • Maintain close communication with the customer to address or prevent upcoming issues.
  • Act as the primary contact between the customer and the organization for non-commercial inquiries.

Qualifications:

Education -
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (Required).
  • MBA or equivalent (Preferred).
  • PMI certification or equivalent (Preferred).

Experience -
  • 5+ years of project or program management experience in a technology field (Required).
  • Successful experience leading large and international aerospace programs (Required).
  • Experience in Business Development (Preferred).

Special Knowledge/Skills -
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Self-driven with the ability to prioritize and execute deliverables independently.
  • Strong business analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to provide program leadership, coordination, guidance, and issue resolution.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
