Job Description:

Position Overview: Oversees and orchestrates all designated projects, whether funded externally or internally, by leading the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure processes. Ensures projects are completed within budget, on schedule, and in line with customer expectations. Manages a diverse portfolio, encompassing both production development contracts and ongoing production programs.

Qualifications
  • Degree (B. A.) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) practices preferred
  • 5 years related experience and/or training in a manufacturing setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication skills to convey ideas, instructions, and updates clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Adaptability to navigate change and uncertainty, adjusting plans and strategies as needed to achieve program objectives.
  • Leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and drive collaboration.
  • Problem-solving abilities to identify issues, analyze root causes, and develop effective solutions.
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks, allocate resources efficiently, and meet deadlines consistently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate complex initiatives involving diverse stakeholders and partners, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Provide regular updates to executive management and address support needs.
  • Ensure adherence to company processes and standards throughout projects.
  • Manage development projects, advancing design concepts for future manufacturing contracts.
  • Plan and facilitate meetings to drive project progress and mitigate risks.
  • Identify and address technical, schedule, and budgetary risks proactively.
  • Maintain action item lists, tracking progress and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Oversee subcontracting and purchasing activities to align with project goals.
  • Utilize project management tools to develop and manage schedules.
  • Manage project scope and budget while prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Make critical project decisions to optimize technical performance, schedule, and cost.
  • Lead preparation of contractual data deliverables, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
