We are looking for a DevOps Director who will establish a DevOps Center of Excellence in Application Delivery, focusing on software engineering best practices and infrastructure automation. You will collaborate with senior IT leaders to shape the strategy, guide global delivery teams, and manage the budget for application delivery automation.
Location: Orlando, FL (Working onsite 3 days a week, 2 days remote)
Responsibilities:
Help the organization define DevOps, CI/CD, configuration management, coding standards, and cloud-based delivery processes.
Hire, mentor, and lead a team of subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure operational excellence and build a culture of knowledge-sharing within the Application Delivery department.
Collaborate with the VP of Application Development and Delivery to enhance CI/CD capabilities and DevOps standards, manage CI/CD pipelines, deploy applications using modern technologies, and integrate activities with business units and IT departments.
Continuously monitor and enhance building, packaging, and delivery processes, analyze metrics and trends, and drive improvements in delivery speed, reliability, and scalability.
Education and Experience:
6+ years of experience in Software Delivery Management and leading teams for end-to-end DevOps Applications
Experience building DevOps teams and practices
4+ years leading agile teams implementing multi-technology CI/CD pipelines
Proficient in developing microservices and distributed applications, adept at constructing applications utilizing Containers employing technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and/or serverless platforms.
Skilled in utilizing Configuration Management platforms like Chef, Puppet, Saltstack, and Ansible, Test Automation tools including Selenium, ReadyAPI, and Postman, Deployment & Server Monitoring tools such as Splunk, DataDog, Sense, and code repositories like Git, Bitbucket, Github, etc.
5+ years of software development or application engineering in languages using C#, AngularJS, PowerShell, JavaScript, Java
