Coastal Engineer Qualifications/Responsibilities
In-person in Columbia, SC or hybrid work situation potential
Bachelor's degree in engineering with coursework encompassing hydraulics, wave mechanics, structures, and coastal processes
Master's Degree preferred
PE registration or EIT
Around 5+ years of experience in coastal protection/resilience, stormwater management, hydraulic modeling, or similar field
Create together engineering designs for shoreline protection and restoration, jetties, groins, stormwater mitigation, breakwaters, and other projects
Interact with clients, contractors, government agencies, and more regarding engineering, permitting, and site development issues.
Act as project manager as needed
Make sure the technical aspects of projects meet the quality expectations while also fulfilling the design intent
