Responsibilities of the Controller
Oversee accounting team ensuring timely and accurate close.
Prepare and maintain reports related to financials and job costing.
Maintain financial statements ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance.
Support leadership team in making strategic forecasting/budgeting decisions and mitigating risk.
Support year end processes including tax filings.
Ad-hoc financial and inventory analysis/reporting.
Controller Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA required.
At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience including prior supervisory responsibility.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, GL functions, and financial statement review/analysis processes.
Proficient with ERP systems and MS Office Suite including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Deadline-driven with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
