Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Launch Equipment Test Facility Cable Shop Lead and Trainer for the LASSO II contract at Kennedy Space Center, supporting the Space Division. JOB DETAILS The ideal candidate is an experienced, self-sufficient hands-on leader with experience in all aspects of cable design and fabrication including cable molding. The role of the Cable Shop Lead includes leading all activities within the LETF cable shop including providing technical support to the team. Candidates should be considered an expert in the field cable fabrication including having the ability to provide training for the certification of personnel on the LASSO contract.

Required Qualifications / Skills
High school diploma with 20+ years of experience in cable fabrication and electrical components and enclosures
Current U.S. Citizenship is required.
Effective task/project organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills; detail and budget estimating skills
Experience with MS Office products
Excellent leadership, communication, and team skills; self-starter
Strong communication skills, verbal, written and the ability to listen effectively
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities Provide leadership in the LETF cable shop to:
Lead a small team of technicians performing cable and electrical fabrication
Assignment of fabrication task within the cable shop
Provide job estimates as requested by customers
Provide technical guidance and recommendations to engineering and customers
Provide effective communications with facility team, management, and customers
Be responsible for guiding the efforts of less experienced team personnel and subcontractors
