The Accounts Receivable Supervisor manages the daily operations of the team responsible for Payment processing and application, manages projects related to the enhancement of processes within the Credit department, supports branch locations with resolving daily issues, creates month end reporting, and assists the Finance department with general ledger reconciliation issues.
Essential Functions:

Provide support and leadership in the daily functions of payment processing/cash application and cross-functional support for sales and operations.
Drive Customer engagement by developing strong relationships and respond quickly and effectively to field inquiries, resolving roadblocks as well as payment applications issues.
Execute/manage projects related to streamlining/enhancing processes within the credit department.
Drive Associate development efforts by providing training, feedback, and opportunities for growth.
Review account adjustment requests for g/l accuracy/appropriateness and post them to customer accounts. Serve as a liaison between Finance and Sales to solve general ledger reconciliation issues while ensuring proper management of customer accounts.
Compile month-end reports summarizing all credit-related activity.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Proven leadership skills, including project management, Associate development, and ability to effectively manage in a process-driven environment.
Strong relationship building and customer-driven focus
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions and meet deadlines
Ability to work with a strong attention to detail
Knowledge of general ledger accounting and P&L classifications
Supervisory Responsibility: Supervision of 6-7 direct reports
Work Environment: This position operates in a professional, office environment.
Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role, requiring use of typical office equipment such as a computer, phone, copier, check scanner, etc.
Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., though reasonable overtime is needed to meet all demands.
Travel: Infrequent travel is required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an accounting/finance major
Demonstrated history of leadership
Demonstrated focus on building relationships and customer engagement
2+ years experience with Associate Development
Demonstrated problem solving skills, continuous improvement mindset
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of accounting concepts/general ledger reconciliation
