We are seeking a AUTOMATION SPECIALIST to become an integral part of our team!
This position is located in SOUTH TEXAS.
Job Summary:
The Automation Specialist will provide automation and programming expertise for oil and gas technology focused in the South Texas region and some travel required throughout the U.S. delivering support of new products, technologies, and automation projects. The Automation Specialist will provide both day-to-day support and preventative maintenance to critical equipment utilized at various field locations including well sites, compressor stations, and tank batteries.
Responsibilities:
Position requires skills normally obtained through the completion of high school, GED, or equivalent
This position typically requires 2 or more years of experience in oilfield operations, gas plants, or related experience with PLC programming and configurations, as well as understanding of electronic flow meters and other production equipment
Established proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently
Minimum 2 years' experience with SCADA, plunger lift and gas lift (preferred)
Must have strong verbal and written communication, time management, and organizational skills
Minimum 2 years' experience as an Automation, Instrumentation, Process Controls Technician or Field Engineer (preferred)
Requirements:
Must pass a drug test
Must have U.S. work authorization

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Work is typically performed outdoors. Exposure to conditions, such as extreme heat or cold is likely. Incumbents in this position must be able to operate company vehicles and equipment physically and legally. Employees must be able to perform work which requires walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, heavy lifting, and climbing, including steps and vertical ladders. Personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes and flame-resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.
