Lead a team of Desktop and Systems Support Technicians (DSST) to ensure efficient and effective customer service delivery within the facilities.
Maximize performance, security, and uptime of desktops, servers, and network infrastructure.
Monitor assignments from Service Now Requests and assist as needed to meet timelines and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Represent IT as the primary point of contact at the facilities, collaborating closely with IT staff.
Report any issues requiring corporate IT management involvement, such as non-standard purchases or new system requests.
Enforce corporate standards, IT policies, and procedures at the facilities.
Coach and guide staff on standards, policies, and procedures.
Manage procurement of software and hardware, adhering to IT purchasing procedures and standards.
Coordinate with IT leadership and accounting on budget planning and expenditure.
Ensure software licensing compliance and maintain records in the licensing database.
Oversee security initiatives in alignment with corporate IT standards.
Maintain an updated inventory of hardware and software at the facilities.
Explore and implement automation opportunities to streamline manual processes.
Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new IT staff.
Share knowledge and collaborate with other facilities, contributing to projects and demonstrating leadership.
Supervise and support unique systems specific to the facilities, such as local MRP/ERP, PM systems, Time and Attendance System, QA equipment, and other specialized software or hardware.
Monitor and audit backups according to IT policies.
Manage and maintain servers, including applying patches and updates per IT policies.
Administer the local phone system, including paging, voicemail, and changes/additions.
