We are a San Diego-based biotech company that provides cell cultures, growth media, and cell biology products for research use. We are seeking candidates for the CELL CULTURE TECHNICIAN and GROWTH MEDIA TECHNICIAN roles.

CELL CULTURE TECHNICIAN:
CELL CULTURE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Isolation, growth, subculture of mammalian cell cultures.
Tissue dissection and small animal surgery.
Lab maintenance, stocking, cleaning.
Digital and hardcopy recordkeeping.
Microscope work.
Quality Control testing, data collection, and analysis.
Depending on personal aptitude, the candidate may also be involved in cell isolation and other cell-based research & development projects.
CELL CULTURE TECHNICIAN CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
A B.S. degree in cell biology or closely related field.
1-2 years laboratory experience, or equivalent, is preferred.
Possess a great work ethic
Track record of completing tasks in precise and punctual fashion.
Possess outstanding manual dexterity and be able to carry out aseptic work.
Be able to carry out calculations necessary for determining cell doubling time, cell concentration, seeding density, molarity, etc.
Be comfortable with what can sometimes be repetitive work, including extended use of microscopes.
Be extremely neat and detail-oriented.
Be familiar with life science laboratory equipment.
GROWTH MEDIA TECHNICIAN:
GROWTH MEDIA TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Basal and Growth Media preparation and filtering.
Buffer and reagent preparation.
Cleaning of glassware, autoclaving, inventory, and stocking.
Maintenance and organization of accurate records.
Labeling and sealing of products.
Quality Control testing.
GROWTH MEDIA TECHNICIAN CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
A B.S. degree in cell biology, chemistry, or closely related field.
1-2 years laboratory experience is preferred.
Possess a great work ethic.
Track record of completing tasks in precise and punctual fashion.
Possess manual dexterity and be able to carry out aseptic work.
Be able to carry out scientific calculations necessary for determining molarity, percentages, cell doubling time, cell concentration, seeding density, etc.
Working knowledge of standard laboratory procedures and safety.
Working knowledge of laboratory equipment (i.e. pH meter, scale, pipetting).
Comfortable with what can sometimes be repetitive work.
Extremely neat and detail-oriented.
Candidate must be a team player and have good communication skills.
Candidate must be organized and have the ability to closely follow direction.
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Google searches).
