Job Title - Currency Technologist - Security Printing
Location - Nashua, New Hampshire, USA (relocation provided)
Salary - $100,000-$120,000 + package + relocation

Our client, a division of a multinational $billion-dollar organisation, are seeking an experienced currency technologist to join their team to help bring to market new, groundbreaking security features for the next phase of global currency printing.

This role gives you the opportunity to analyse existing technologies and solutions, develop new ones, experiment with different techniques and processes with a view to securing currency globally.
Key responsibilities:
collaboratively with the Principal Currency Technologist and in cross-functional teams, including with R&D, sales and manufacturing.
a subject matter expert in security printing, substrate manufacture, and related fields.
experimental trials related to banknote features, analyze results, and make recommendations based on findings.
new competitor security feature technologies to understand their threats and weaknesses.
forensic analysis of counterfeit and competitor documents.
industry data to identify trends that inform company strategy.
weaknesses of banknote features through innovative use of commercially available materials.
an understanding of standard practices in the security products and authentication industry.
Ideal background:
They are willing to consider a wide range of profiles, however, knowledge of security/technical printing is preferred:
degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Optics, Physics, or a related field.
5 years' experience in manufacturing, technology, printing and/or design.
An inquisitive mind and enthusiasm for learning new skills.
Strong analytical ability and proficiency in Excel.
Experience working in a research environment preferred.
Familiarity with printing and manufacturing technologies preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present technical concepts clearly and succinctly to customers.
Knowledge and understanding of currency manufacturing, ideally gained through experience working in a central bank, in the currency industry, or as a technical consultant to the security paper and print industry desirable.
