E-commerce Buyer Job Description

As an E-commerce Buyer at ALC, you will play a crucial role in curating the online product assortment to align with our brand identity and grow our online business. You will work closely with the Buying Manager and other cross-functional teams to ensure that our product assortment meets customer demands, reflects our brand vision, and drives business growth in our DTC channels.

Responsibilities:
Product and Assortment Planning:

Curate seasonal product assortment for online based on historical selling data and brand-right opportunities. Ensure buy's are within budget

Size, submit and manage purchase orders

Identify product/classification/price-point/fabric opportunities and clearly communicate these needs to design and merchandising

Make appropriate recut suggestions in-season to maximize full price selling
Reporting and Sales Analysis:

Daily: Send out daily e-commerce flash email and replenish urgent best-sellers

Weekly: Send weekly sales recap email and submit replenishment as needed

Monthly: Create end of month recap decks with the Buying Manager and deliver to cross-functional partners

Post-Market: Create seasonal product recaps highlighting growth opportunities to improve future buys

Collaborate with the Buying Manager to make in-season transfers between our DTC channels to maximize sell-through
Markdown Management:

Review markdown breaks with Wholesale and communicate markdown list to e-commerce and marketing teams

Markdown replenishment

Transfers to WH10
E-commerce and Marketing:

Partner with E-commerce and Marketing on product launches and promotions, ensuring assets support top investment styles and are aligned with key brand initiatives

Collaborate with marketing to style out looks for online

Prepare samples for quarterly E-commerce shoots in collaboration with merchandising & marketing teams. Create the shot list

Review staging, PDP assets and SEO naming for new product launches

Site maintenance and merchandising suggestions for e-commerce team

Maintain DTC Product Flow Calendar and communicate launch dates to cross functional partners

Review weekly return report and communicate with e-commerce teams to copy on site where needed to minimize returns
• Ad Hoc projects as needed

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Buying, Merchandising, or related field.
• 3-5 years of e-commerce buying experience
• Excellent analytical skills, proficient in Excel and data analysis tools
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a fast learner, agile and proactive
• Must have a positive attitude and be a great team player
• Understanding of the Contemporary/ Luxury market?
• Travel to NY required 4 times annually for market
• Hours 9-6, in office Mon- Thurs, WFH on Friday

The compensation for this position ranges from $75,000- $95,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate's relevant skills and experience.
