We are looking for a Production Planner to join our Operations Team here in Farmington Hills, MI. Our Production Planner is a key member of our team, ensuring a quality start to our production orders.

What you'll be doing:
Initiate new tool jobs utilizing internal system, ensuring all job start packet information is verified and material is available for production.
Initiate re-sharp tool jobs sent by customer for resharpening; including quantity confirmation verification of customer order, confirm purchase order, issue to production.
Collaborate on flow management (FMT) with engineering and plant management to ensure proper quantity of WIP in work zones, including end of year audit for inventory status.
Manage job status including updating past due and assisting customers with updates.
Review route and BOMs to ensure accuracy.
Manage Cutting Tool inventory by ensuring value, location, and quantity meets organizational needs.
Review and manage coating log to ensure schedule adherence.
What we ask you to bring:
Minimum of two years manufacturing experience required.
Production planning / scheduling experience preferred.
Associate degree in Business Administration preferred.
Knowledge of database software, internet software, manufacturing software, order processing systems, spreadsheets, quality and work processing
