An enterprise retail bookstore is seeking a Senior UX Designer to embody the essence of seamless post-checkout experiences for its customers. This role personifies the commitment to intuitive design journeys, ensuring every interaction is as enriching as flipping through a beloved book.
Location: Seattle, WA (hybrid onsite 3 days/week)
Duration: 4-month contract w/ strong potential to extend or convert
Hours: 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $60-67/hour
Responsibilities:
Spearhead the creation of post-checkout experiences that resonate with the soul of customers at the enterprise retail bookstore.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that evoke the joy of discovering a hidden gem on the bookshelf.
Utilizes Figma and other design tools to craft wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that bring digital landscapes to life.
Conduct user research and data analysis to uncover customer preferences and behaviors.
Communicate design concepts with clarity and precision, captivating stakeholders with compelling narratives.
Thrive in dynamic environments, managing multiple projects and adapting to evolving priorities.
Develop interactive prototypes using Figma, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and other relevant tools.
Requirements:
Demonstrated expertise in crafting interaction designs for web and software applications, with at least 7 years of experience.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or a related field.
Proficiency in web-based information architecture, usability principles, prototyping, and design best practices.
Strong skills in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other design tools.
A portfolio showcasing past design projects and user-centered design solutions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail and enthusiasm for collaboration.
Ability to thrive in agile environments and manage complex projects.
