This is a full-time entry level position with opportunity for advancement. This is a Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. position that requires the employee to be at the Association Headquarters Office up to two days per week. Some overnight travel to association events required (averages about five times per year for travel).
This position contributes to the efficient and effective operations of an association management company supporting the membership, meetings, and executive departments.
The Member & Meetings Specialist (MMS) will have assigned clients/tasks and be asked to assist with special projects as needed.
General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Answering client-member phone or email inquiries/requests, and cross-selling services for multiple clients.
MMS will become familiar with the profession their clients represent and be expected to articulate the benefits of membership and communicate their value.
Maintain client database (online management system): assist members with online access and profile updates, troubleshoot and follow-up with online platform issues.
Routinely, review prospect data, collecting and integrating data from outside sources; manage and distribute mailing list rentals.
Build membership, event, and donation forms (online and paper); manage, track, invoice, evaluate, and report on submissions.
Prepare onsite meeting materials.
Travel to onsite association events: manage attendee on-site registration and check-in, assist with vendor check-in and additional tasks as needed.
Collaborate with member relations director and executives to develop and implement effective membership strategies and campaigns for retention of current members and attraction of new members.
Work with staff to create and distribute marketing, invoicing, and general communication emails.
Full-time salary range is $35,000 - low $40s, annually, with full benefits.
