Job Purpose and Scope:



Responsible for contributing to the overall quality of business resilience across the Bank by proactively collaborating with business unit managers to prepare for, manage through, and recover from disruptions that impact the Bank.



Essential Job Functions:


  • Establishes and updates Business Continuity Plans in coordination with business units.

  • Facilitates Business Impact Analyses' and risk assessments related to Business Continuity.

  • Monitors Bank systems for potential disruptions and escalates to management when appropriate.

  • Responds timely to all inquiries and/or notifications of disruptions, with partners at various levels of the organization, including when on call as scheduled (evenings, weekends, and holidays, etc.).

  • Logs managed events, documents test plans, and creates succinct deliverables with accuracy.

  • Completes deliverables for employee instruction and/or awareness.

  • Follows established response processes and procedures and identifies anomalies and escalates when the need to deviate arises.

  • Communicates and works effectively with all levels of management.

  • Identifies and documents action items resulting from tests and live events.

  • Participates in the development and execution of Business Resilience program exercises and/or testing including on evenings and weekends.

  • Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.

  • Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.

  • Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.





  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Knowledge and understanding of Business Continuity concepts, frameworks, and principles.

  • Knowledge of banking operations and financial services.

  • Ability to adapt to change and investigate emerging trends and recommend related enhancements for the program and/or related strategies.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to work without close supervision.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent and effective customer service skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively and demonstrate flexibility in a continually changing environment.

  • Ability to demonstrate creativity, critical thinking, initiative, and problem-solving skills to identify enhancements to the Business Resilience program.

  • Knowledge of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) IT Examination Handbook for Business Continuity Planning.

  • Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office produces, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.





  • Job Expectations: Operate customary equipment and technology used in a business environment, with or without accommodation.


    Position Requirements:


    Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in job-related field or commensurate work experience, required.

  • 2+ years of work experience in crisis management, business continuity, business resilience, and/or disaster recovery, required.

  • 2+ years of work experience in financial services, preferred.

  • Certified Business Continuity Professional, Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute, or other related professional certification, preferred.
