The Head of National Accounts Excess Casualty, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for a Head of Energy Segment to join our New York office.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Key responsibilities for the position include new and renewal business production underwriting of Energy and Energy related accounts.
Effectively preserving and enhancing profitability through pricing discipline, competitive analysis and the development of performance metrics and controls
Managing remote underwriters within team
Developing new business and renewal account strategies for profitable production
Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers to facilitate new and renewal business
Adhering to underwriting guidelines and protocols
Driving top-notch service and collaboration with other products lines to provide full product support to the client
Travel is required to visit brokers
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or above and insurance certifications
A minimum of 10 years of experience in underwriting and managing umbrella and excess casualty
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
Strong producer following in retail distribution channels
Demonstrated ability to generate profitable new business
Strong relationship management skills
Excellent analytical, communication, and computer skills
Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks concurrently within a fast-paced, team-oriented, working environment.
Customer-oriented approach
Ability to travel occasionally by air/rail as needed to attend training, meetings, or other work-related activities.

For NYC Only: The base salary range for this position is $220,000 - $250,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
