Compensation: Hourly budgeted between $17.75 - $20.75 dependent upon experience
Responsibilities:
Monitor shared Credentialing inbox and incoming faxes and route to the appropriate team member or respond to requests as needed.
Assist with maintenance of MD-Staff database and physician files, ensuring expirable credentials are kept current.
Update Salesforce with changes to physician demographic information, as needed.
Send out initial physician applications in MD-Staff and support the physician throughout the onboarding process.
Send out physician reappointment applications and ensure all necessary documentation is received.
Collect required credentialing documents and obtain all necessary verifications in accordance with Joint Commission standards for physicians who are onboarding, in reappointment, and/or have an update to credentials.
Submit onboarding equipment provisioning and physician setup/configuration tickets via ServiceNow portal. Monitor ticket status, schedule physician for IT setup appointment, and connect physician with IT and Implementation Specialist to facilitate necessary communication and preparation prior to first scheduled shift.
Collaborate with team members and Leadership to review applications for temporary, initial, and reappointment privileges once all required verifications and documentation have been received, discussing any red flags or concerns.
Complete state license and facility credentialing applications, including required verifications, supporting documentation, and detailed instructions for physician to review and complete.
Collaborate with the physician and state medical board or requesting facility throughout the process until license is issued or facility privileges are approved.
Communicate any concerns or potential delays to Director of Professional Services for assistance and/or acknowledgement of application status.
Receive and file medical records requests and subpoenas, documenting each one on worklist.
Process each request by searching for requested records, communicating any concerns to Director of Professional Services for further investigation.
Send requested records in a secure, HIPAA compliant manner, and document date and manner of transmission.
Attend training sessions and educational webinars, with or at the recommendation of Director of Professional Services, to further knowledge of the department and its responsibilities.
Assist Director of Professional Services with projects, as needed.
