Supervise a warehouse infrastructure that is valuable and satisfying to our external and internal customers. Responsible for all aspects of kitting and warehousing for parts activity. Responsible for managing all activities associated with inventory movement and accuracy. Additionally, this position manages shipping and receiving of all materials.
The Nuts and Bolts
Establish working relationships with all departments and branches of the company, with emphasis on upfit production, and offer assistance when needed
Develop strong relationship with purchasing and involve those team members when necessary
Direct and control operational activities for materials department and warehouse activities
Establish and maintain effective inventory management program consistent with plant strategy
Develop and implement effective long-term improvement strategies for warehouse function supporting overall plant strategic direction
Develop and monitor key performance indicators and report to management as required
Provide direction and support to all assigned team members, including hiring, training, coaching, conducting performance reviews and assigning performance measures
Develop and maintain plant cycle count program
Schedule and execute ground and Air freight to internal and external customers
Develop and/or follow procedures and policies as required, as well as complying with all Company policies and procedures
Monitor all department expenses and regulate as needed
Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
Lead and/or participate in assigned special projects and initiatives
Conduct and/or support annual inventory
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhere to Environmental Health & Safety regulations
Required Credentials
Three (3) to eight (8) years of experience in a warehouse environment
Three (3) years in a supervisory role preferred, preference given to individuals with Materials management experience
Must possess a strong Customer focus and a strong desire to achieve specified results
Experience with LEAN/Six Sigma and 5S preferred
Ability to effectively coach, counsel and discipline employees with support of human resources department
Extensive knowledge of material, planning and logistic processes
Extensive knowledge of inventory management and controls
