Product Experience Leader

This role is an exciting opportunity to join MARS Pet Nutrition Research & Development team as a Product Experience design leader. You will drive user centricity and work with innovation teams to embed the pet parent voice at the heart of each Innovation to deliver superior product experiences.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about all things concerning experience, who is up to date with the latest design trends and knows about consumer interactivity and consumer-centric design in the context of FMCG. This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a professional, self-starting, can-do mentality, who likes to lead.

What are we looking for?

• University degree in CX/UX, product development, anthropology, psychology, behavior sciences, or relevant field.


• Minimum of 8 years' experience in CPG industry designing product proposition experiences


• Proven Knowledge and experience in consumer research qualitative & quantitative. Experience in sensory analysis preferred.


• Recent achievements in UX Experience in Research & Development or Research & Innovation department


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to team, (UX/UI) designers, developers, and other stakeholders


• Fluent English, verbal & written.

What will your key responsibilities be?

This role is new on the team and will have ownership and responsibility to lead user centric product design for MARS Pet Nutrition and transform our capability to translate pet parents need states, pain points, delights, behavior, and motivations, into holistic product experiences brief, leading to create physical product, preferred by pet & pet parent in-home.

This role will provide R&D leadership in consumer and sensory understanding to peers and cross functional partners (global and regional) to embed capabilities that ensure consumer-centricity of our proposition.

The role will also champion and take responsibility to support the Consumer Technical Insights community to embrace the tools and deliverables to ensure consistent quality of our proposition design.

Develop UX capabilities that create high quality UX deliverables for our innovation process, and will enable to collect, investigate, and evaluate pet and pet parent needs and to translate them into a high quality UX product design brief

Focused responsibilities will include:

UX knowledge management,

Deliver training and up-skilling to the insight community and Marketing,

Building strong internal and external network in the UX space,

Consistently keep breadth of latest and emerging techniques in UX and will be a key partner to the Mars Pet Nutrition Design Thinking Lead in R&D to ensure consistency of approaches.
