Job Description:

Perform structural analysis & design, field inspection, & load rating of Bridges (Hwy. & Railrd.), Culverts, Retaining Walls, & Overhead Sign Structures for DOTs on various bridge replacement/rehab., hwy. imprvmnt. & multi-disciplinary projects in accrdnc. w/ state & fed. stndrd. spcfctns. Draft bridge inspection reports in accrdnc. w/ NBIS & rcmmnd. structural repairs for any defects. Req. are Bach. Deg. in Civil Eng. or a rltd. fld. + 2 yrs. exp. in an eng. postn. 1) prfrmng. on-site bridge inspections & preparing rprts. for bridges in accrdnc. w/ NBIS; 2) prfrmng. load rating of bridges utlzng. LARS Bridge sftwr. to detrmn. the load capacity of bridges; & 3) anlyzng. structural deficiencies of bridge cmpnnts. & rcmmndng. structural retrofit &/or repair schemes to prvnt. further deterioration.
