Job Summary

Performs work associated with the operation of assigned mechanical equipment and product packaging activities in a manufacturing environment.

Schedule: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM

Job Duties

• Operate assigned mechanical equipment
• Move parts to be sorted from staging area
• Follow parts sorting schedule and expedite parts flow to reflect changing production needs
• Report completed transactions into tracking system
• After sorting process is complete, package product into packaging cartons
• Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• Perform work under direct supervision
• Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
• Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter, including use of basic hand tools and simple gages
• 0 to 2 years of experience
• Powered industrial equipment certification preferred

Competencies/ Skills

• Ability to interpret work instructions
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions, including blue prints and production order schedules
• Basic verbal and written communication skills
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to use vision sorting computer system
