Job Description:

Under the administrative direction of theMammography Supervisor, the Mammographer performs diagnostic Mammographyprocedures at a level of competence not requiring constant supervision totechnical detail. Assumes responsibility for designated areas, and proceduresas assigned.



Qualifications

Required effective communication skills/ ability tobuild rapport with others. Proficiency in using computers and ability toquickly gain competency in various software applications, including hospitalspecific applications, Microsoft Office, cell phone, pager. Organizationalskills to work in an efficient, orderly fashion. Maintain current CPRcertification.


PreferredOne year of mammographer work experience.


RequiredSatisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology Training programaccredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology(JRC/ ERT) Required.


RequiredLicensure with the Department of Public Health to practice Mammography in thestate of Massachusetts required. Registration with the American Registry ofRadiologic Technologist in Mammography (ARRT)(M) required. CPR Certificationrequired.
