The Cardio Catheterization Technician performs a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist the physicians during cardiovascular procedures and surgeries.

• Uses imaging equipment to help doctors detect and treat any heart and blood vessel issues. Takes patients' medical history and answers patients' questions before any procedure is done.
  
  


• Ensures that the equipment is in good working order and ready for use. Executes any noninvasive course of action, such as ultrasound images.
  
  


• Evaluates images to ensure good quality and makes sure that area in question is included.
  
  


• Keeps abreast of the differences between a normal image and an abnormal image.
  
  


• Communicates with the physician regarding the results of the image. Assists the physician with inserting catheters and other invasive procedures.
  
  


• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Education:

• Associate degree or equivalent
  
  

Experience:

• Minimum 1 years of relevant experience
