Job Description for Staff Physician


Title: Staff Physician -
Institution: University of Miami
Division: Katz Family Division of Nephrology & Hypertension

Reports to: Chief, Alessia Fornoni
Type of Position: Part-time Per Diem

Summary of Job Responsibilities:


The staff physician part time (Clinical) is responsible for providing direct inpatient/outpatient on call weekend care to Nephrology patients at UHealth Locations. The Staff physician will be engaged in teaching and evaluation of Nephrology fellows as appropriate. Position will be paid at $36 per rvu generated.



Qualifications:




  • MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency


  • Valid American Board Certification in Nephrology (or board eligible)


  • Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License





Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:




  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.


  • Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements.


  • Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care


  • Current BLS certification required.






  • Valid DEA licensure if required by credentialing
