Jacksonville State University's College of Health Professions and Wellness is seeking to hire a scholar for an Instructor or Assistant Professor in Sport Management.


The Instructor/Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology provides educational services to traditional and non-traditional students during the day or evening; teaching undergraduate level courses in Sport Management and Recreation Leadership; and may be required to teach courses within their concentration area on campus, off-campus, online courses and possible videoconferencing depending on need of location.


The Jacksonville State University College of Health Professions and Wellness was established to deliver a top-quality education for 21st century professionals in an effort to promote health and wellness in our communities, state, nation, and around the world. The departments of nursing, respiratory therapy, and kinesiology have developed undergraduate and graduate programs utilizing the latest evidence-based practices. This position requires the following:



  • Master's degree in Kinesiology, Sport Management, Recreation, Physical Education, or related field.


The preferred applicant will possess the following:



  • Terminal Degree in Kinesiology, Sport Management, Recreation, Physical Education, or related field.
