Duties: We are looking for a highly motivated, organized and dedicated Bioinformatician to join a translational cancer genomics laboratory studying the role of inherited DNA repair genes in tumor formation and response to therapy. The Bioinformatician will be responsible for data management and analysis of complex human sequencing datasets. They will perform primary analyses of raw next generation DNA sequencing data, including quality control, alignment, variant calling and variant annotation. They will perform primary analyses of raw next generation RNA sequencing data, including quality control, alignment, transcript assembly and expression analysis. The successful candidate will have experience coding in Python, R, and bash and willingness to hone and improve their coding skills.
Qualifications: The minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master's degree is a plus.
