We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Product Development Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end product development process, ensuring effective communication with vendors at every stage to meet approval deadlines for timely delivery. With a focus on artwork and execution management, the Product Development Specialist will play a crucial role in bringing our design concepts to life.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the design team to create and maintain technical sketches for adopted styles.
  • Select and approve trims.
  • Oversee the entire artwork process from pitching colors to strike off approval.
  • Manage timelines with both internal and external partners to meet deliverable deadlines.
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to vendors throughout the development process, including CADs, lab dips, strike offs, photo samples, and TOPs, ensuring quality and accurate production.
  • Approve final photo samples for photography and maintain sample archives and trim libraries within the product development files.
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional partners to support design and merchandising concepts.
  • Monitor deliverables, participate in weekly work-in-progress meetings, and communicate updates to cross-functional team members.
  • Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve costing and execution challenges within the product development cycle.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in the fashion industry, with a minimum of 3 years focused on apparel product development. Design background and experience a plus.
  • Education in a relevant field.
  • Artwork pitching experience is a must.
  • Experience with fabric and trim sourcing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems preferred.
  • Textile knowledge and global mill understanding, particularly in woman's wear, knits, yarns, and wovens.
  • Accessory and footwear experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Critical thinker with the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborative team player who can build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
