This position is hybrid and based out of our New York City office reporting to the office on Tuesdays & Thursdays.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning and execution of ICSC's Board of Trustees Meetings, and other high-profile events that involve ICSC's CEO
Oversee the production of events, including venue recommendations, selection and site visits
Negotiate on behalf of ICSC with speaker agencies for guest speakers
Own all hotel, venue, and vendor negotiations, F&B selection, A/V coordination, as well as any other logistical needs to execute the event
Act as on-site manager to ensure events are delivered effectively and professionally
Manage and reconcile event budgets; prepare forecasts as needed
Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure event needs are met
Work closely with the Manager, Board and Executive Programs to ensure thoughtful and thorough planning and execution of Board of Trustees events, and any other executive-level programs
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required
7 - 10 years of experience in managing high-quality events (operations and logistics)
Previous experience in trade association or corporate event planning a plus
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Tactful and comfortable interaction with a wide range of individuals from C-Suite to junior associates
Experience in managing budgets and driving through changes to improve efficiency
Ability to build relationships with hospitality, events and meetings industry leaders
Able to identify problems, find and implement effective solutions
Travel up to 25%
