John Owens Services, an HVAC company dedicated to delivering energy-efficient solutions, is seeking an experienced HERS Rater with blower door experience or BPI certification to join our expanding sales team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in offering our customers air duct sealing, duct replacement, home air sealing, and home insulation.
We offer competitive base pay with benefits and commissions on sales or technician-generated leads. While some sales experience is advantageous, we provide sales training for the right candidate. Additionally, we furnish a company vehicle and all necessary equipment and materials for service performance.
Job Description:
Perform Field Verification and Diagnostic Tests for HVAC systems
Conduct Duct Testing, Blower Door Testing, Airflow Testing, and other assessments
Provide estimates for air sealing, duct sealing, insulation, and new duct systems
Referral to Design Technicians for equipment sales
Provide excellent customer service during on-site visits
Work independently in the field
What We Offer:
Full-time position with 40 hours per week
Competitive salary ranging from $52,000 to $62,000 annually, at $25 to $30 per hour plus commissions

Qualifications:
H.E.R.S. Certification (Required)
B.P.I. Certification (PLUS)
HES Certification (PLUS)
HVAC experience (PLUS)
Must be local to the North Bay Area and able to work in Sonoma and Marin Counties
Clean DMV record and ability to pass a background check (Required)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
